fall in the desert

Well, fall has hit here. Colors are changing fast, night comes early and the mornings are coldl! And the Lancasters are not ready for any of it! SO we headed to the desert(Moab) where the days are warm but yes the mornings are cool too. We had a fun relaxing weekend playing in the sand, hiking and going for a bike ride.

Maily was having a blast playing in the sand. She was getting a kick out of wearing the bucket on her head.

Coronna arch, this is where Jeff asked me to marry him!!

having fun under the arch

While camping, Maily decided she was done crawling and it's time to start running! And boy she is everywhere and into everything!

celebrating sept. 22,2007

Dollar Lake
Happy Anniversary Jeff!! I LOVE YOU

Most couples probably celebrate with dinner, some drinks, a romantic night but not the Lancasters! We love an adventure! Maily went to Grandpa and Grandma's house and we headed to the mountains! So we drove to Missionary Road, parked the truck and hopped on the quad. Rode it as far as we could in the COLD morning air, jumped off and started hiking.
Jeff practically ran up the mountains, i on the other hand was huffing and puffing. It took me awhile to warm up and get my legs and lungs working , hahaha. I wasn't sure i would make it to the top but Jeff kept me going! THe reward was incredible! IT has to be the most spectacular view i have ever seen. Thank you Honey for getting me there!
WE hiked to the end of Missionary Ridge, From there you can see Ruby and Emerald Lake and a couple 14'ers!

At the top! Snapped some quick pictures before the storms hit! ANd yes, that is snow you see!
Somehow we managed to stay ahead of the rain and lightening, very unusual for us! Yeah Jeff we broke the curse:)

Heading down! What a beautiful day and an awesome way to celebrate 2 incredible years together! I'm looking forward to OUR next adventures!

What's also new is...........Maily's top tooth. Yeah , after two months of torture and keeping Mom and Dad up at night it finally came through! ANd now we can eat corn on the cobb!

HAving fun playing in the dress Grandma A made

Getting a kiss from granpa and grandma's horses

Maily loves to help Momma sew and she also loves to color!!

Grandparents visit

Maily's Grandparents visit from Michigan!

Grandpa chased Maily around the house. Not sure how his knees held up on the tile!

Walking outside with Grandpa and Grandma G

OK, for those of you who have known my Dad, probably remember him with hair to his butt like in these photos

Surprise he cut his hair and donated it. WAY TO GO DAD! You look younger

SO Dad isn't the only one who got a hair cut, I did TOO! Maily has sucked the life out of my curls so why fight it, i chopped it all off, YEAH

SO these pictures were taking on the Alpin Loop. WE took Dad and Denice 4 wheelin! We had a great time! IT was beautiful, the colors are just starting to change, lots of sheep grazing which was really cool to see. And it was cool, it felt like fall and winter at times

Our New Home, just kidding but it would be an awesome summer home
Snack time and time to stretch the legs!

I think Maily is clapping because we are almost done with our adventure. She did great for being in the truck for so long!

This is what happens if you don't have 4 wheel drive!

Family part 2

Nothing like a trip to the Bar D to get your toes a tapping! It was a beautiful night and the kids sure had fun shaking their butts!

Next we all took a trip/camping . Maily and Grandma did some painting!

Next it was bubble time before we have ice cream

Playtime in the river

Maily loved the water! She would crawl in it and sit in it till her lips turned blue, then cry when we took her out.

All that fresh air makes a camper tired

WHAT A CREW
