christmas morning

Maily's eyes got pretty big when we came upstairs Christmas morning! Santa left her some toys under the christmas tree!
I'm not sure who was more excited about the tool box, Jeff or Maily ?

This book is "Farley Farts" and it makes a farting noise. Maily has had a great time with it:)

Our future Farmer.......Yes we are turning her into a tomboy. Thank goodness she got a tea set too:)

Tea for two

Time for baby to take a nap

Time to do some sketching

Then we headed to Grandpa and Grandma A's house for christmas dinner
Helping great grandpa open his gift

Telling Great grandpa a story

riding her horse

Back at home, looking out the window

Play time

We had a wonderful Christmas!

christmas eve

There is nothing like watching your child's eyes light up with excitement around christmas time. Every time we turn on the christmas tree lights, Maily oohs and ahhs.... This year was fun for Jeff and I . Maily figured out how to open presents and has had a great time playing with them. Us too! We had a wonderful christmas. We decided to open our gifts on Christmas Eve and open the gifts Santa left on christmas morning. So here's christmas eve!

Maily loves her tea set

We have had many tea party's

WOW, what's this?

Loves to read!!

sunny winter days

We love sunny winter days!Got to soak in that vit D while we can because, it's snowing today! Maily was happy to have her sun glasses on.
Future horse whisperer.

Glamor queen, also our drama queen:)

THe train conductor

What do you think Grandpa G? I think Maily's Great Grandpa G would be impressed that she's wearing a BOx Car Willie hat. THis hat has to be thirty years old.

Yeah, Daddy got me a sled!!

Faster Faster Daddy! maily sure had fun on the sled. She even fell out a couple times on some fast corners and she just kept on laughing!

We had Jeff's office party. We did a gift exchange where you had to make the gift or find somehting in your house. YOu were not allowed to spend money on it:) SO i made a grocery sack out of a tee-shirt for Jeff's boss's wife! THe tee shirt is actually a company t shirt. THe handle of the bag is the sleeves. IT was fun to make and i'm going to make more. It's a great way to recycle some shirts!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!

winter blues

WE have the winter blues around our house and it's only December! It's just been too bitterly cold to go out and play or run. But, the great thing about where we live is.......it usually won't last very long. It's already warming up, the sun is shining and hopefully today we will get outside and play in the snow!
In the meantime, we have been having fun by dancing around the house!

dancing with baby

break time

we have also been enjoying some reading time

all this fun makes a girl hungry

To keep myself super busy, I've been working on some sleeping bags for a friend. These bags have turned out to be a ton of fun. I think i should probably make one for Maily too.

We hope everyone is having a fun December and Maily says, "if you got the winter blues, DANCE DANCE DANCE!"

art projects

Well i just wanted to show what has come out of my art studio. Some of it you might have seen in past blogs. Hopefully there will much more to show. Right now, finding time is difficult. Maily loves to draw while i sew but that doesn't last very long. SHe loves to sit on my lap and push the buttons on the sewing machine:) It's all fun, it's great to see Maily taking an interest(copying me) in what i'm doing.

Last years christmas present for Maily. Wow she was 5 mnths old at this time last year and she still loves these blocks.

Curtains i made for Maily's closet

Bed ruffle and matching curtains

Fun rag quilt made out of flannel with dinosaurs on it and a fleece backing. Very warm

another quilt made out of flannel with jungle animals on the front and the alphabet on the back. This one is Maily's blanket

baby shower gift

Maily's security blanket. A must have when sleeping!! Made out of flannel scraps i had and she loves the silky tags! great for peek-a-boo

This was my first attempt at a rag quilt made from circles. Very challenging, i learned a lot from it and have started the next one:)

backside

Here we are sewing

I call this a bed bug. it's like a sleeping bag/blanket. something fun for the kiddos to curl up in or dance on:) This one is on it's way to FLA to Maily's cousin Juli!
the inside is fleece, the top is lined with flannel. sorry about the blurry picture, i'll talk to the camera man

Getting the Maily approval

it all rolls up nice and neat. I"m currently working on a fish.

I'm trying to get back into painting. a little something fun to hang up

So i'm showing you all these because i'm going to try to start selling on ETSY. I'll let you know when that happens and will have a link from here to there.
Well, it's time to shovel! We are getting dumped on! i think we are at a foot and a half with more to come!
