Jeep Safari

We decided to hang out in Moab for Jeep Safari which  always happens around Easter. Its a great time to see some amazing vehicles, have fun with family and friends, do some wheeling, hiking and relaxing! It's also a very busy time in Moab! You have to go there understanding that it will be a zoo! We got a great camping spot the previous weekend(barely) so we decided to keep it!  We came home for a few nights and it was so nice to know that the RV was waiting for us!

Pa and Grandma came over on Friday so that Pa could check out the vendor show and figure out what he would like to do to his jeep. WHile Pa and Jeff were doing that us girls went downtown and checked out the new jeeps. Girls won these orange neck mufflers which became their favorite wardrobe accessory!

Maily is helping Fill her sister full of sand!

One of the great features of Moab is all the sand! ANd you cant help but take a "little" home.  Our washing machine and dryer still have sand in them!
So while Grandma was hanging out, Jeff decided to take her for a ride over Lion's Back and part of Hell's Revenge. I took off ahead of them ( on Foot) and climbed the fin next to Lion's Back which was way cool! But anyhow, here they come!
Lots of laughing and yelling coming from Grandma, lol. Notice the girls are waving and Grandma is hanging on tight!

And back they come! Great Job Mom!

Saturday it was time to take some friends on Hell's Revenge. They had never ran it before so Jeff got to be leader, lol.

Yes that beautiful yellow jeep use to be ours but this Toyota is more our style!  We go much faster in it, no worries about scratching it, Jeff can fix it, and it's way more fun!

on our little adventure we met some people from Alberta and they tagged along with us.

Here we are at the "bath Tubs, " this is the little tub that we went through.

This is the large tub and us, along with twenty other vehicles, sat around waiting for some " brave" soul to give it a try !Pictures never show how steep it is. This is pretty vertical and once you make it to the top you have to make the turn left or right or you're going to fall !
after a few attempts the guy made it!

This obstacle is called The escalator. Very fun to watch, nobody flipped over although it was close a couple times! THe buggy at the top was amazing! Huge tires and he went up it and down it like it was nothing.  We didn't attempt this crazy one, I would never let Jeff do something like that with the kids! He can do that on Guy's Trip!

THe Alberta BOys trying out an obstacle, and they didn't make it up and had to go around it
the above photo is of" tip over challenge", doesn't look bad but if you don't take the right line, you're going to tip, and we made it with no problem. But I had to put the picture in of the yellow jeep.  Look at the driver's expression. We were watching a jeep CHerokee drive through it with little kids in the car that were NOT seat belted in and it just about tipped over! We were all pretty disgusted! Like all adventure sports, safety FIRST! OUr kids are harnessed in and have a lap belt tightly over them!
ANyhow, its the night before Easter! and the kids got glow sticks for a fun night ride

Easter Bunny made a trip to the desert
