fall fun

 I'm back:)  It's been a bit busy at the Lancaster house.  I apologize to those of you that have been waiting for an update!  September was a beautiful month!  It started hot and ended in a nice warm Indian summer.
  These pictures are from our trip to Lake City for their wine festival.

 

Cloudy, rainy festival day so we went for a drive.  Still beautiful in the rain and look at that fresh snow

It rained all night, stopped early morning, started again when the festival began!  We debated about going home, so glad we didn't because the sun came out and the evening was beautiful!!!  Getting the girls ready for our hike into town:)

Hmmmm.....more snow, do we attempt to go thru this because it's a shear drop off!  at least on this side of the mtn, if we slip, we slide into the mtn.  That is what my husband told me!!!  At this point, i could have smacked him beside the head.  All i could think about was babies in the back!  And to make matters worse, Maily asks " are we going to fall off the mtn?"

  I was pretty close to being hysterical when we started down the other side of the mtn.  It was slippery!  And of course there was oncoming traffic in an area where there wasn't much room to get over!  At that point i needed valium or a stiff drink!  hahahahaha

Well, we made it.  Jeff got us thru it, lol.  And it was worth it.  Scenery was spectacular.  And it lives up to a lancaster vacation!  We usually have some crazy adventure while on vacation:)
